Keep your spices close to the cooktop
Only well-seasoned food unfolds its full taste. So whether you simply want to add a pinch of salt or even use your homemade spice mix: make sure your spices are as close as possible and easily identifiable. Just put them in boxes with glass tops and place them on an under-cabinet rack near the hob.
Organize spray bottles
Place spring-loaded curtain rods under your sink to create the perfect place to hang your cleaning utensils and spray bottles, so you don’t have to rummage for them. Also, you will have plenty of space for dustpan, cloths and paper towels underneath.
Add storage jars
Use big jars for ingredients like salt, flour, sugar and noodles and place them on a shelf or the cabinets. This gives a clean, fashionable look and matches especially well with transitional kitchens.
Repurpose a steam basket
A bamboo steam basket is great for creating Asian dishes. Another plus: you can store your onions, garlic and shallots in it and keep them dry, dark and well-ventilated.
Hang dishcloths
Add a tiny rod to your kitchen sink to hang your dishcloths neatly and to let them dry hygienically.
