The 500 series dryer from Bosch has no heating element. Instead, a heat pump dryer works by passing hot air over the laundry to collect moisture in the air, then passes it through an evaporator to condense the excess moisture and separate it into a water tank. The heat pump then recycles and reheats that same warm, and now dry, air and passes it back over the laundry in a continuous, closed-loop system that effectively and efficiently dries the items.
